What are you Tolerating?

by Michaeline on August 26, 2008

Are you going through the motions of life? Are you stressed? Are you living your dreams? Or are you living your excuses?

We go through our day-to-day activities hoping to get through to the end of the next project, the next hour, or to the next caffeine fix.

But what that really means is that you are tolerating your life…you are just “getting through” it. Instead of living the life of your dreams you are enduring pain and suffering.

So what does the word tolerating mean?

tol er ate –verb (used with object), -at·ed, -at·ing.
1. to allow the existence, presence, practice, or act of without prohibition or hindrance; permit.
2. to endure without repugnance; put up with: I can tolerate laziness, but not incompetence.
3. Medicine/Medical. to endure or resist the action of (a drug, poison, etc.).
4. Obsolete. to experience, undergo, or sustain, as pain or hardship.

Are you tolerating a job, an unhealthy lifestyle, a feeling of unbalance, difficult  relationships, or unfulfilled dreams?

You do not have to tolerate those things. You can start living your life one step at a time by taking action. That first step can be just believing it can be better. I believe. Do you?
