Locally spring time comes and so do the garage sales in my area…my subdivision included.
Since you are already committed to spring clean this year and get rid of the clutter in your life, why not consider participating in your neighborhood garage sale or set one up yourself.
Here are some ideas for the logistics:
- Find out if your neighbors want to do a multi-family sale to share cost. Also, multi-family sales attract more people.
- Go on line or call your local municipality to find out if there are any ordinances related to garage sales.
- Find out costs to advertise in the local paper and determine which papers will get you the most customers…ask around.
- Get signage and balloons for the day of your sale. Put out a sign a week ahead of the event to alert passersby.
