I have said it before, choice is the secret to moving yourself forward….one choice at a time and one day at a time.
In discussing choice, we also need to consider the option of too many choices. In his post, The Paradox of Choice: How Less Freedom Makes Us Happier, Dean Yeong suggests that limited choices provide more freedom.
To that point, as you are setting goals or adopting new habits, you can make rules for yourself, or limit your choices. For example, if you are working a weight loss or improving your eating habits, you could limit your choices by having the guideline that “I do not drink soda pop” or “I choose not to eat fried foods”.
Either way, choice is the secret to success.
