Are You Too Busy?

February 16, 2019 by Michaeline

Goals.
Choices.
Time.
Priorities.

Where are you with your 2019 goals (resolutions)? Are you accomplishing what you set out to do this year or are you too busy for your priorities?

Although it is true that you do not have time to do everything, you do have time to do what is truly important to you. We all have the same 24-hours each day. So why do some people achieve their goals while others don’t? The difference is knowing how to use your time in order to focus on your priorities.

If you spend time on non-priority activities, then obviously you have less time available for your priorities. Saying “no” to some activities is as important as is saying “yes,” and perhaps even more so. When you say yes to something now, you are saying no to something else. So, when you are evaluating the progress you are making on your goals ask yourself:

• Did I have the time, but chose to spend it on something else?
• Is this still a high priority for me?
• What is distracting me?
• What choices have I made that were counterproductive to achieving my goal?

And in order to create space for your priorities consider the following in your daily planning:
• Delegating
• Eliminating
• Calendarizing

Remember it is the choices and decisions you make daily that will determine if you achieve your goals.

Two Weeks In….

January 12, 2019 by Michaeline

We are just about two weeks in to the New Year.

How are you doing with your resolution(s)?

When we set goals (resolutions), we often think that that achieving them, especially health goals that involve food choices, is a matter of willpower which turns into “won’t power”.

Willpower or won’t power doesn’t work in the long run. What works in the long run is making choices daily that moves you toward your goal. And then continuing to make those choices to maintain that healthy lifestyle.

A life coach can help support you in achieving your goals. Contact me to arrange for a free 30-minute introductory session. Make the choice to succeed with your resolution and support yourself with life coaching.

Do It Better Each Time

July 9, 2016 by Michaeline

Let no one or anything stand between you and the difficult task, let nothing deny you this rich chance to gain strength by adversity, confidence by mastery, success by deserving it. Do it better each time. Do it better than anyone else can do it. “

Joy and Fire in Your Work

July 2, 2016 by Michaeline

Even if you have a lot of work to do, if you think of it as wonderful, and if you feel it as wonderful, it will transform into the energy of joy and fire, instead of becoming a burden.”

March 22, 2014 by Michaeline

Are you feeling overwhelmed with too much stuff? Are you feeling too busy to handle the stuff in your life? Are you putting off handling things because you are feeling uncomfortable?

The more stuff we have in our lives, the more challenging it is to deal with. We can feel like we don’t know where to start so why bother. Having too much stuff in your life…too much paper, too many t-shirts or too many pots and pans can simply be because of delayed decisions.

So the question is why are decisions difficult for you? Are you avoiding working on your taxes because you don’t want to know your financial status? Are you leaving your house in disarray so you don’t have to deal with company? Are you not sorting the boxes or closet because you will have to deal with the feelings that will arise from the loss of a loved one? Are you afraid of making a “bad” decision? [Read more…]
