Are you waiting for enough time or the right time to organize or de-clutter? Sometimes beginning is the hardest thing to do especially when you feel you don’t have enough time or feel buried under a lot of stuff.
If you feel that you don’t have enough time to get organized you can get started by using daily practices to get your stuff under control. Creating routines as discussed in my previous post can help.
In addition, you can keep clutter from accumulating by doing a daily 15 minute circuit around the house. Carry a basket or bin to collect items that belong in other places and at the end of the circuit return them to their proper place. You can have other members of your household help you with this task as well.
But don’t wait until just before bedtime to do this routine as it can get left out… schedule a time such as right before bath time or after dinner so everyone still has the energy to do it. Get in the habit of this daily 15 minutes and you will be surprised how much better you and your home will feel.
