“Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”

“Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude.” ~E.P. Powell
Many of us have implemented expressions of gratitude on a daily basis. Yet we don’t always reflect on the things that matter most in our lives.
This Thanksgiving think about and acknowledge the memorable moments, small accomplishments and many gifts you have received thought the years with true gratitude.
For me, a few weeks ago on a beautiful evening my husband surprised me after a difficult day by driving to a local outside mall and inviting me to take a walk with him. The sights, the smells, the sounds were absorbed into me as we held hands, talked and smiled. It was just for a very short time and yet those few precious moments together warmed my heart, filled the empty well and left me feeling grateful.
Please share what matters most to you.
Are you happy?
With the economy, daily hassles, work pressures, health issues, and other worries it would seem that there is no such thing as happiness.
I would beg to differ and so would Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project. I have been following the Women’s Day Magazine’s year-long challenge about happiness. I have learned from reading these articles that we have a chance…no a choice… every day to be happy. Every decision, event, circumstance provides us with a choice.
Happiness or being happy is an attitude. Happiness is a daily decision. Choose happiness today.
How many times do you dwell on the things that you fear?
Choosing to dwell on the negative can attract what we fear to us. Sounds crazy I know, but what we think about we get.
So why not use the power of abundance and gratitude to create a sense of calm and inner peace? Sounds great, right? So how do you begin?
Begin by making a gratitude list. It can be verbal or written in a journal it doesn’t matter. What does matter is reviewing it frequently for overtime this positive focus will bring more abundance into your life and will enable you to let go of concerns of loss (material or otherwise). Know that this process can take time, but through the process you will feel more positive and less fearful.
So what are you grateful for today? What are the blessings in your life?
Give abundance your energy and attract more joy into your life today…it will shift your perception…POSITIVELY!
What you think about, whether you want it or not is what you get.
When I heard that statement you would have thought that I had been hit with a ton of bricks. What an empowering statement…your thoughts become things. Could that be?
Again, review your thought patterns. Are they positive or negative? If you are striving for change, for positive things to happen in your life, that can only happen if your thoughts are not filled with regrets and your list of incompletes.
Allow yourself to release the past and its regrets. Affirm that your life is changing for the better. Pick one thing you want to focus on changing this week. Develop an affirmation and use it daily. What happened? I would love to know.
