Last weekend my husband and I volunteered to pack meals as part of one of our local community’s efforts to address food insecurity and the few hours that we gave, gave us both more than we could have imagined.
It was a humbling experience knowing that these could be neighbors that will benefit from the work of our hands. And while we have always supported local charities and organizations, doing the work made it even more meaningful. And this activity really tied back to my word of the year, purpose. When you do things with purpose, many amazing things happen.
So, my two wishes for you are:
1. Do something that connects you to your purpose as often as possible and daily if you can.
2. I hope that if you don’t already volunteer your time at something connected to your purpose, that you will open yourself up to that opportunity.
